The Head of Marketing is responsible for managing all the marketing activities across the various Stellar brands:

  • Stellar Omada – Business change and technology transformation
  • Stellar Elevate – Digital and technology education
  • Stellar Talent Search - Recruitment
  • Stellar OneView – Omnichannel platform

This role would suit an ambitious marketing professional looking for a role that offers autonomy and the ability to influence the shape and scope of the marketing activity. You won’t be afraid to roll up your sleeves and be hands-on to deliver results and you’ll be equally comfortable planning and executing marketing activities across the business.  The successful candidate will have the support of an extremely capable Marketing Assistant who will help manage planning and execution of key deliverables.

Key roles & responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading, executing and oversight of all marketing activity within the business, including social, digital, creatives, content, internal and external communication, PR and advertising
  • Lead the development and delivery of marketing plans
  • Ensure brand message is strong and consistent across all business units and channels
  • Support with sales and business development activity – take to market strategies, lead generation, content creation and bid packs
  • Maintain strong working relationships with our sponsorship partners including Heart of Midlothian
  • Efficiently manage the marketing budget to understand return on investment
  • Collaborate with key senior stakeholders to establish creditability, uncover insights, and develop winning marketing strategies
  • Ensuring that all marketing activities comply with accepted professional standards, policies, procedures, and legislation
  • Routinely sharing strategies, progress, results, learnings, and relevant industry trends, with the broader team
  • Regular reporting on marketing effectiveness across the business
  • Line management duties for one direct report including a focus on personal development, with room for the team to grow
  • Supporting the business and shared services team on ad hoc requests and where needed

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • Extensive experience working in marketing, B2B marketing experience would be a bonus
  • Experience in a management role
  • Experience of working in the technology sector
  • Experience with Adobe products such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere Pro 
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Confidence to use initiative
  • A positive and approachable manner
  • Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness to embrace and implement new ideas and processes
  • Willingness to develop your own skills and knowledge
  • Able to make quick and rational decisions when working under pressure
