As a Data Modeller / Data Engineer you will be responsible for working with Data Architects to produce logical and physical models for the Data Warehouse Design.

Responsibilities
* Work with Enterprise Data / Technical Architects, Business Analysts & Business Stakeholders to produce appropriate data warehouse model(s), ensuring that logical attributes have appropriate business definitions which are agreed with stakeholders that meet requirements
* Recommend and implement data modelling best practice, which includes understanding appropriate use cases and data modelling techniques e.g. de-normalised third normal form, third normal form, dimensional modelling
* Document and progress data model designs through Technical Design Assurance, confidently explaining reasoning for the data modelling approach taken
* Focus on modelling key reporting metrics, ensuing that an accepted and consistent business nomenclature is used to the satisfaction of the client
* Provide governance assurance for the data warehouse logical model and physical design; ensuring that changes are tracked and managed appropriately

Skills & Experience
* Experience on large cloud (Azure) data warehouse implementations - with demonstrable experience of managing high volume, low-latency requirements
* Data modelling experience using suitable data modelling tool
* Working experience of project and analysis techniques and supporting tools for requirement definition and documentation - you will be working through requirements backlogs to ensure key reporting metrics are modelled satisfactorily
* Demonstrable experience of producing Conceptual, Logical and Physical data models
* Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
* Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
* Experience using Jira to manage user stories
* Proven ability to integrate with multiple teams and build relationships with clients
* Ability to ask insightful questions to retrieve information from stakeholders
