As one of Scotland's fastest growing companies we are looking to expand the talent in our organisation in order to help our customers deliver key programmes of work. We are seeking an experienced CTO to support one of Stellar’s key customers.
The experienced and visionary Interim Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will lead the technology strategy and operations during a critical transitional period. As a large consultancy operating in a highly regulated industry, our client requires a dynamic leader to ensure the alignment of our technology initiatives with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy that supports the company's business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for all technology-related projects, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all technology operations and initiatives comply with industry regulations and standards.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes and assess their impact on technology practices.
- Team Management:
- Lead and mentor the IT and technology teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
- Oversee recruitment, development, and retention of top technology talent.
- Technology Operations:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the technology department, including infrastructure, applications, and cybersecurity.
- Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of all technology systems.
- Innovation and Improvement:
- Identify and implement new technologies and processes that enhance business efficiency and client service.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize technology performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with senior leadership and business units to understand their needs and ensure technology solutions meet those needs.
- Communicate technology strategy, plans, and progress to internal and external stakeholders.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate technology-related risks, ensuring robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place.
- Conduct regular security audits and implement necessary measures to protect company and client data.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CTO or in a similar senior technology leadership role, preferably within a regulated industry.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the [specific industry, e.g., financial services, healthcare, etc.].
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic technology plans.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of current and emerging technologies, with the ability to evaluate and implement new solutions.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
